Hey friends!! I have missed you all!!
As you all know that I had a shopping date with my very dear friend. I had been planning on this for some time now but never got the chance. Well, today was a lucky lucky day!! First of all my friend was free!! The weather was cloudy( a bit humid though), But not so sunny!! I quickly had my lunch and met him and both of us went to my favorite shopping destination in Kolkata -THE NEW B.K. MARKET.
Why it is my favorite??Because I get a variety of colorful things at this market which you might get in shopping malls but at higher prices. Well, let me not stray from the topic.( i will write about this market in my next post.)
I knew that shopping is an arduous task as you have to hop from one shop to another to find the best things at best prices. i had initially thought of wearing my brother's over-sized tee but eventually I changed my plan.(Girls are forever indecisive about clothes) So I zeroed in on a favorite statement tee( I used to hoard statement tees like anything!!!). It is not black, but a combination of black and deep purple( dark colors look great on my skin tone), and combined it with a skinny fit purple jeans. See, the clothes were very casual and comfortable, and I am a very jeans-and-tee kind of girl, but I wanted to look different( I have this problem!!) So I decided to accessorize!! No earrings or bracelet, please!! It's already so hot!! But I wore my metallic watch and two funky rings( one white and one red) . That's all for jewelry! I kept my hair open and tied it later on( as I was feeling very hot). Now, you may say. what's different in this look??
My dear friends, I haven't written this post for nothing!! The heroes of my total outfit were my shoes and my shades!! I knew I had to wear something comfortable as I would have to walk a lot. Normally girls would opt for flats or sandals, flip-flops or sneakers or belles. But I decided to jazz up my look by wearing boots. YES!! YOU HEARD ME RIGHT!! Boots. It is a common notion that you can wear boots at only some places and only in winter. Wrong. My other objective of writing this post was to dispel any such notions. I am used to walking in very high heels and these boots I had bought about seven months back from B.K. MARKET itself for 700 bucks. I wore them extensively last winter and wear them in summers also.
I did not carry my usual brown tinted shades, but a bubblegum pink one which I bought from NEW MARKET for I guess about a hundred bucks or so. The exciting thing about it is that they look like aviators and are absolutely transparent!!!! ( You will understand upon checking my pics)
My make up was minimal, only Kohl and lip gloss. Baby lips is the way to go!!
And it would be wrong to miss out my lovely tote bag which I had bought from COAST, MAIDAN outlet for 350 bucks.The trendy thing about it is that it is a very lovely orange colour with the words "FEMME FATALE" written on it. (so me!!)
And yes I forgot!! My statement tee was an eye catcher. Any guesses why?? It was because it had the words "THANKS MOM FOR ALL THE GOOD LOOKS" written on them!! I really owe my mom big time. She is really very beautiful and I consider myself lucky to take after her.
