FLUTTER YOUR PRETTY LASHES WITH THESE AWESOME MASCARAS!!

Hey friends!!!
                     So sorry for posting so late today. I couldn't get time in the morning and afternoon.Any ways, I have two mascaras to talk about which you all should buy!!! And don't worry , they don't cost much but give you pretty lashes in a jiffy!!!
                    Okay so you all know I have been discussing about my LOOK OF THE DAY 2# and how to achieve the look over some posts now. Hope it benefited you. I will now go a step further and suggest you buy these two mascaras to complete your eye make up:

• MAYBELLINE NEW YORK COLOSSAL VOLUM EXPRESS MASCARA(WATERPROOF)
• ORIFLAME WONDERLASH WATER PROOF MASCARA

Waterproof is the way to go, girls. You surely don't want your mascara smudged after a few hours.I bought the ORIFLAME one at a peanuts price of RS. 198.(original price Rs. 398). I dare you to find me a better mascara at such a petty price!! The MAYBELLINE one I have been using for quite some time now, for over six months and it cost me Rs. 330. You can invest in any one mascara. I will make it easier for you by listing the pros and cons of both:

ORIFLAME MASCARA: 

• waterproof
• cheap if you buy at discount
• long stay
• fine bristles offer smooth application

There is not much problem with it except that if you buy it at original price, RS.398, it may be a bit pricey.

MAYBELLINE MASCARA:

• waterproof
• upto 7x more volume
• Instantly in just one coat
• no clumps
• colossal brush
• collagen enriched formula

The price and everything is good plus its collagen enriched which means that it nourishes and helps your eyelashes to grow. It really does not provide 7x volume but definitely 3x volume and one coat is not enough. Two coats are your best bet, to remove clumps. Wide bristles offer much needed volume.

Still difficult to decide? I would suggest that if you are looking for volume, opt for MAYBELLINE and if you are looking for smooth eyelashes, opt for ORIFLAME.

LAKME POP TINT SHADE PINK SORBET

Yes!! Now I am going to review the most talked about lipstick- LAKME POP TINTS PINK SORBET. I was always amazed by Kareena's ad on TV and wanted to buy it so bad!! I was absolutely ecstatic when I bought it and it is one of my favorite lipsticks.
I wore it for a conference yesterday and I matched it with a beehive hair-do and classic winged eyeliner look. It worked BANG ON!!!




Here I discuss about the price and other details:

• PRICE: It is priced at Rs. 800, but I got it for only Rs.660. (DISCOUNT DISCOUNT!!!!)
• LOOK: It looks like a jumbo crayon. Very thick and cute looking in fact!!! Plus it has a roll on base so that you can roll it up and use it.
• COLOR: The pink sorbet is a very pretty pink shade, more like neon pink, but on the lighter side. It is creamy, and smooth and lasts long. The best part about it is that it that as the day passed by my lipstick kept on getting lighter, but looking more and more natural. I reapplied it only once.

Now I show you the swatches:

It is very shiny and keeps your lips moisturized the whole day. You also do not need to line your lips with a lip liner because the crayon shaped lipstick can be used to line your lips. There are no cons of this product, really, but the price may be a factor. Rs. 800 is not to be afforded by everybody. So if you very strongly feel that the price is not a factor, then only go for it. This looks great on fair skin.
For those who think that it may be a bit too pricey, I will review one of my favorite lipsticks that i bought for peanuts at a huge discount. You just can't go wrong with it!!! So check out my next post.

HOW TO CREATE THE CLASSIC WINGED EYELINER LOOK

                 Sorry I have been very busy today. I promised you in my last post that I will explain more about my LOOK OF THE DAY 2# in detail. Well, here I  am!!

                 In this post I will discuss about how to create a classic winged eyeliner look. I will do so in six simple steps. It is actually very easy. I have used a few things to create this look:

• A VERY ME CONCEALER from ORIFLAME (LIGHT)
• A MAYBELLINE DRAMA GEL EYELINER (BLACK)
• A WONEDERLASH WATERPROOF MASCARA FROM ORIFLAME
• A VOLUME EXPRESS MASCARA FROM MAYBELLINE. 

I don't really have dark circles, lines or wrinkles around my under eye area, but constant wearing of spectacles does make my eyes look tired. Also, I have very thin eyelids so you can almost see my veins. It doesn't make my eyes look pretty. So first I wash my face and dry my face with a towel and apply some concealer around my eyes and on my lids. Then I blend it well with the tips of my fingers and let it settle for some time. Please make sure that you do not apply concealer more than is necessary or else

your eyes will look heavy.

Then, I use the gel liner from MAYBELLINE to draw the lines on my lids. It is very easy to use as it comes with an applicator brush. (will discuss about it in my next post.)

You do not have to be a pro to draw these lines. Initially if your lines are rough, it hardly matters because you'll now have to fill the inside with the gel liner like this:

Make sure that you extend the outer edges of the line you have drawn very sharply. The sharper the lines, the better it'll look. Also you'll notice that I have thickened the line over my lids to make it look edgy.

Now to get voluminous lashes, apply a first coat of MAYBELLINE VOLUME EXPRESS MASCARA and follow it with ORIFLAME WONDER LASH WATERPROOF MASCARA. If you want, you can just use any one mascara.(GO FOR VOLUME EXPRESS MASCARA THOUGH!!)

Also notice that I have not applied any kohl or kajal on my waterline. I have just extended the liner towards my inner rims on both sides. Try this out for a change.:)

LOOK OF THE DAY 2#

What have you gorgeous girls been doing today?? Well, for me, I was very very busy today. i had a conference to attend with my Dad at THE PARK HOTEL, Kolkata and so I could not post anything new the whole day.
You all must be wondering what I wore today. I am going to write about that in this post. So, read on to find out.......
THE PARK hotel is a very posh place, and though it wasn't any formal party sort of thing, I decided to wear a maxi dress. But there was one problem. It is fully air conditioned and we had to stay there from morning till evening. So would I rule the option of wearing my newly purchased maxi dress?? No, never.



I decided to wear a cropped body hugging jacket with it. The maxi dress is AWESOME!! It is very very simple looking, which makes it all the more lovely. And the colour is a hot trend this season-ORANGE. (Girls I strongly feel that you all must invest in atleast one accessory of this colour.) It is very very long and made of lycra material with no detailing and thin spaghetti straps. It is a low cut dress which makes it all the more sexy. I bought it online from myntra.com for a great price of Rs.500. (yay!! I got it on offer!!)
I teamed it up with a short jacket in another very trendy colour-NEON PINK!!!!! And the jacket has leopard print all over it. (Yes!! I know I picked all the correct fashion trends!!)
The two colours look very very trendy when worn together. It makes the whole look pop. Since I wore such a bright attire I wore nude heels which I bought on sale from INC.5 at an awesome price of Rs.700 only!!!
Oh. I forgot to mention about the jacket. I bought it from a stall in a fair in our locality only about two months ago for a mere 120 bucks. It was a thrift shop and I paid peanuts for the jacket I think. But girls, while thrift shopping be careful to purchase things that will suit you and don't get lured by the cheap prices. The jacket is originally from NO CODE, a very famous fashion label.
My accessories were also very simple. I just wore a long chain with a bejewelled poodle locket, a gift from my aunt in Singapore. ( She always gives me amazing things!!!). I did not wear any earrings as I didn't want to shift the focus from the chain. I wore a large ring on my left hand middle finger.( Normally I wear
 two chunky rings.)
Now I come to the most interesting part: makeup. My make up was fairly simple- I did the classic winged eyeliner look and did not line the waterline of my eyes with kohl because sometimes, you just need to focus on the nuances of each look. I LAKME POP TINTS PINK FUCHSIA lipstick and the colour is very very nice. It looks really good on fair skin. :)
I am very inspired by the AMY WINEHOUSE LOOK and attempted to do a 60's style beehive bun, and yes it worked!! It looked awesome with the dress and my hair did not get dirty at all. And this look also lasted the whole day!!!
I could not take many pics but I share with you some of the pics I could manage to take. And yes, I took a bright teal sling bag which i purchased for 500 bucks from B.K. MARKET, Kolkata. ( I simply love the colour!!!)

GET GLOWING SKIN IN MINUTES!!!

       I am going to write about a product that changed my life forever. I have been using this ever since I was in school (class 6) to be precise and I use it even now. It is a simple, cheap and effective product that will transform your skin miraculously. When I was a child, I used to have lots of pimples and blackheads on my skin and used to be very depressed about it. I tried a lot of medication, went to a lot of dermatologists, but it didn't really help. Until the time my mother suggested me to use Dabur Gulabari Gulab Jal. It is a rose water toner that you can use as many times a day you want to. It effectively cleanses your skin to get rid of dirt and grime and so you can flaunt glowing skin.

• PACKAGING: The packaging of the product hasn't changed over the years. It is still the pretty pink and white transparent bottle.
• HOW DOES IT LOOK LIKE? : The toner is actually nothing but mainly distilled water with rose essence. It looks just like water, only with a rosy scent.
• DIRECTIONS FOR USE: You can use it in many ways. It can be used for cleansing your face with a cotton pad, with face pack for extra radiance or with glycerin for soft, glowing skin. I use it regularly for two three times a day with a cotton pad to enhance the glow of my skin and once in a while I use it with face packs. But I'll tell you one more way to use it to make your peepers look great-take some rose water in a small bowl and soak two thin, big pieces of cotton (large enough to cover your eyes) in it. After some time, take them out, squeeze out the excess rose water from the cotton pads and place them over your eyes. Keep this for fifteen minutes on your tired eyelids. When you open your eyes, you'll feel instantly refreshed!
• INGREDIENTS: Aqua, Fragrance(Rooh Gulab), Rose oil, Propylene Glycol, Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben, Bronopol.
• Price: Rs. 62
• Quantity : 150 ML
